Set up scale barcodes

Configure weight-embedded scale barcodes: prefix, SKU length and weight digits, match product codes with your label scale, and test one item.

Steps

  1. From your scale’s settings or manual, note the prefix, the item code length, and how many digits carry the weight (whole and decimal).
  2. In Settings → Business settings → POS, enable the weighing scale option and enter those four values.
  3. Give each weighed product the same SKU as its code on the scale, and a price per kg or lb.
  4. Weigh one item, print the label and scan it at the register. Check the weight and the line total.

Example

Label 2510420075 with prefix 2 digits, SKU 4, weight 2 + 2 → product 1042, 0.75 kg.

See the weighing scales feature to try the decoder.
