Security & data
Plain language, no badges we haven’t earned. Six layers stand between your sales, customers and recipes and the things that go wrong.
In detail
Every page of the POS and your store loads over HTTPS, so data between the counter and the server is encrypted in transit.
The software runs on servers we manage, not on the shop tablet. A lost or broken tablet loses no data.
Merchant data is backed up every day, so a mistake or a failure can be restored.
Each staff login sees only what its role allows: counter staff don’t see costs, bakers don’t issue refunds.
Card payments run on your processor’s terminal; card numbers never pass through or sit in the POS.
Products, customers and sales export to CSV. Your data is yours if you leave.
On servers we manage for GetBakeryPOS, not on the device at your counter. You reach it through an encrypted HTTPS connection from any browser.
Your staff, according to the roles you give them, and our support team when you ask for help. We do not sell or share merchant data.
Yes. Export to CSV any time. If you close your account you can ask us to delete your data; see the data request page.
The account pauses and your data is kept for 30 days so you can export it or come back; after that it is deleted.
We make no certification claims. Card payments run on your processor’s terminal, which is where card data is handled; the POS never receives card numbers.
Less easily: every sale, refund, discount and drawer opening is tied to a staff login, and register close reports show expected versus counted cash.
Change the affected staff password and sign the device out; nothing is stored on the tablet itself.
It is a hosted, online system, so it needs a connection. Keep a mobile hotspot as a backup for the counter; it uses little data.
No question matches that. Try another word, or ask us on the demo.
