Import your products from a spreadsheet

Import bakery products from a CSV: names, categories, prices, sizes as variations, barcodes and items sold by weight. With a checklist for a clean import.

Importing a spreadsheet is the fastest way to a full catalogue: about thirty minutes for a sixty-item bakery.

Before you import

  • Delete products you no longer sell.
  • Merge duplicates (“Concha”, “concha vainilla”).
  • Decide which products have sizes (6-inch, 8-inch, half sheet) — they become variations of one product.
  • Mark items sold by weight and give them a short code that matches your scale.

Steps

  1. Go to Products → Import products and download the template.
  2. Copy your data into the template columns: name, category, price, tax, SKU/barcode, unit.
  3. For sized products, use the variation columns (size name and price per size).
  4. Upload the file and review the preview for errors.
  5. Import, then spot-check twenty products for price and tax.

After import

  • Add photos to your best sellers first.
  • Set par levels if you use production lists — see set par levels.
  • Your online store already shows the products you imported.
